Northern Automotive Systems Limited is a leader in the manufacture of decorative interior trim for the automotive industry. The UK office and manufacturing facility is based in Gilwern, South Wales. We have a wide European customer base within the automotive industry.

 About the role

We are actively recruiting for an ambitious graduate to support the sales team as a Graduate Account Manager directly reporting to a UK based Account Manager. The role will be varied and offer many opportunities for growth, training and flexibility.

The role will include, but is not limited to, the following activities:

Operational Activities:

  • Forecasting existing business and potential opportunities
  • Support with the preparation, formalisation and quotation of new business opportunities
  • Engaging in project management duties
  • Building on current contacts to generate new business
  • Maintaining and building good relationships with the customer
  • Respond to and coordinate customer enquiries and internal sales enquiries
  • Attending meetings with the customer
  • Supporting the Account Manager with day-to-day duties
  • Day-to-day administration and account maintenance duties

Communications and Marketing Activities:

  • Social media account building and maintenance
  • Hyperlink building and website updating
  • Press and PR liaison and monitoring
  • Contacts database management
  • Internal Marketing (IM) and newsletter promotion
  • Competitor Benchmarking and database creation and maintenance
  • Conduct market research

Essential Criteria

  • Degree or equivalent
  • Customer focused / orientated – experience in a customer facing role
  • Pro-active team player
  • Excellent administrative skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and innovative
  • A positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Display integrity and honesty

Desired Criteria

  • Understanding of the automotive markets and industry
  • Business or Engineering Degree
  • Excellent commercial and business awareness
  • Experience of communications and marketing
