About the Role
The scope of the Graduate Applications Specialist role is to fulfil the following functions in a functional and technical capacity:-
• Support and develop the existing/new Midas applications;
• Support and develop the existing/new .NET framework libraries primarily written in VB and C#.
• Support and develop the existing SQL DB
• First line testing with configuration engineering team
Supervision and mentoring will be provided by Software Executive Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Providing technical and functional support and development for Midas applications, .NET (C# and VB6) and SQL Database.
- Develop and customise Midas Applications and Configuration Console applications.
- Develop .NET (C# and VB) applications that can integrate with Midas application for configuration and Service department or stand alone
- Solve issues at both a technical and functional level on all configuration and service applications .NET (C# and VB) and SQL DB
- Requirements gathering, analysis, design and implementation – successfully deliver a project through the full life cycle
- Resolve issues surrounding interfaces between Oracle modules and Midas
- Investigate and resolve complicated issues or functional behaviour
- Support business operations and processes
- Using the applications, improve business processes
- Research, develop and test functionality and processes for the business
- Raise and progress Midas and configuration console service requests
- Successfully take a project from its initial discussions through to implementation and post go live support
- Provide end-user training and documentation
- Define, develop and test Midas Reports and technical solutions
- Adhere to company policies and quality systems
- Gain understanding of all areas of Panasonic MSBDEU Operations roles and processes.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required
Core requirements:-
- Degree level qualification in a Computing subject
- Enjoy programming and the challenges it brings
- Strong programming skills, able to develop complicated programs
- .NET framework libraries (C# and VB), SQL Databases
- Requirements gathering, analysis, design, implementation
- Excellent communication skills
- Windows 10 knowledge
- Windows Server 2012 R2 and newer
- Knowledge or WMI
Additional skills that would be an advantage:-
- Use of development tools TOAD or SQL Developer / Visual Studio
- Experience in .NET (C# and VB)
- Exposure to JavaScript, CSS, HTML
- Knowledge of database structures
- Experience with Microsoft Products (Ms Office, Windows and Servers)
