Why did you decide to get involved with the CCR Graduate Scheme?
We have had mixed experience recruiting technical graduates in the past and wanted to try a different approach this time. The internship process proposed by the scheme gave us more flexibility to assess candidates before committing to a permanent position.
Why should other businesses consider taking on a graduate through the CCR Graduate Scheme?
The scheme has access to graduates who might otherwise not be available to employers on their own. Its experienced staff took the time to understand the job specification and the organisation. The pre-selection assessment was based on this joint understanding, freeing us up to focus on relevant applicants. A basic management course was included for each graduate at no extra cost
Do you have any advice for recent graduates looking to secure their first job?
Preparation for interview is key: research the employer and check the job description. Match your skills to the job and the activities of the employer. Explain how you can contribute to the employer’s business.
